Tear up the existing system (a revolution, an imposed constitution, a new order) instead of reforming it from within.
Proposed from several directions: an externally imposed constitution for a Palestinian state, a new Israeli constitutional order (from either the 2023 overhaul's supporters or its opponents), or a revolutionary break with the whole arrangement.

Where it has been tried
- Iraq's 2005 constitution — partly. Written under occupation, it entrenched sectarian power-sharing that has paralysed the state.
- Israel's 2023 judicial overhaul — failed. A rapid change pushed by one camp split the country before the war; it shows why constitutional change needs broad consent.
